Laminated glass (LG TDC GLass) and laminated safety glass (LSG TDC Glass)
LG TDC Glass – laminated glass (laminated), LSG TDC Glass – laminated glass with safety glass (laminated) – laminated glass according to reference group SR EN 12543 and SR EN 14449: 2006 – construction glass.
Laminated glass and safety glass:
Applications
Injury protection - in case of breakage, the glass fragments remain glued to the interlayer film;
Fall protection - parapets, railings, floor tiles, glazed walls and sloping glazing;
Protection against vandalism and burglary - to ensure the security of property and occupants of a building;
Noise protection - used in situations where sound insulation is essential;
UV protection - filters most of the UV rays. They are used to protect any interior element against discoloration by exposure to sunlight.
Laminated glass (LG TDC Glass) and safety laminated glass (LSG TDC Glass) can be:
LG TDC Glass and LSG TDC Glass consist of two or more glass panels assembled using one or more polyvinyl butyral (PVB) or ethyl vinyl acetate (EVA) films. There are laminated panels, composed of a single PVB or EVA film, which has a nominal thickness of 0.38mm and laminated panels composed of several PVB or EVA films, with a multiple thickness of 0.38mm.
If the glass breaks, the PVB, EVA film or films retain the glass fragments. In normal use, the glass and the residual strength of the glass are maintained until it is replaced.
